CUSA Releases 2024-25 Men’s Basketball Conference Schedule
DALLAS – Jax State received its Conference USA schedule for the 2024-25 season on Thursday as the league announced its new 18-game lineup for all 10 members.
The league slate increases from 16 games in Jax State’s first year to 18 this time around with the addition of Kennesaw State to CUSA. Jax State’s rivalry with the nearby Owls resumes instantly in the first weekend of action when the Gamecocks travel to KSU to open conference play.
The CUSA league schedule officially begins Thursday, Jan. 2, however, Jax State and KSU have a delayed start and will both open play against one another on Saturday, Jan. 4 in Kennesaw, Georgia.
The Gamecocks earn their travel miles early next spring playing five of their first seven league games on the road. Following the KSU opener, Jax State will visit Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee the next weekend before making the long trek out to UTEP and New Mexico State in late January.
Jax State opens CUSA action inside Pete Mathews Coliseum on Thursday, Jan. 16 hosting LA Tech. The Bulldogs finished runner-up in the regular season last season to Sam Houston, who the Gamecocks welcome to town two days later on Saturday, Jan. 18.
The Gamecocks enjoy back-to-back weeks and four-straight games at home starting with FIU on Jan. 30. Jax State then hosts Liberty (Feb. 1), Middle Tennessee (Feb. 6) and Western Kentucky (Feb. 8). The remaining home games on the league docket include NMSU and UTEP on Feb. 20 and 22nd, and the regular season finale versus KSU on Saturday, March 8.
For the second consecutive year, the CUSA Men’s Basketball Championship will take place in Huntsville, Ala., at Propst Arena.
