JACKSONVILLE-Senior punter Jack Dawson is among the 34 players named to the 2024 Ray Guy Award Preseason Watch List.

The award presented by the Augusta Sports Council honors the nation’s top collegiate punter in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The list was compiled based on the 2023 Ray Guy Award Semifinalist List along with the top ten NCAA punters from the 2023 season, and all-conference teams.

Dawson averaged 42.3 yards per punt with a long of 65 and 10 of 50 or more yards. The native of Sylvania Waters, Australia placed 23 of his 65 punts inside the opponent’s 20-yard line and had just one touchback on the season.

The final candidate list will be released on November 6th and will be trimmed to 10 semifinalists on November 15th. The winner will be announced on December 12th at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show on ESPN.
