CUSAJACKSONVILLE – Jacksonville State’s senior setter Ellie Garrett has gotten off to an amazing start to the 2024 season. Her three performances in the Gamecock Classic earned her the Conference USA’s Setter of the Week.

New Mexico State’s outside hitter Starr Williams won the offensive player of the week, UTEP’s middle blocker Kaya Weaver won defensive player of the week, and Louisiana Tech’s middle blocker Rori Gray won freshman of the week.

Garrett opened the Gamecock Classic with 42 assists in the three-set victory over Arkansas – Pine Bluff on Aug. 30. She added two kills and four digs in the match.
